About Us

Hello! Welcome to our blog!

We are Aaron and Leah. Twenty somethings who live in Athens, GA.  We started this blog to keep our family and friends updated on our lives and the work that we do with the Wesley Foundation. We bought a house in January 2011 and as any homeowner would know, there is such a process in making a house your home! Since we live a few hours away from our family and most of our friends, the blog has also developed into sharing about our home adventures and updates. We have no idea what we are doing around the house--just trying to figure it out as we go!

Aaron and I met in 2007--or late 2006--can't remember.  We met going on a mission trip to Tanzania with the Wesley Foundation at UGA.  At the airport of the day we were leaving Atlanta, our team leaders instructed us to pair up into "buddies" as a safety precaution. We were two of the only people that had come through the security gate at this point, so we paired up randomly. Neither of us knew what was in store for our relationship that began as "buddies" and when we got our plane tickets, we noticed that our seats were assigned alphabetically, so we were sitting next to each other on the long flight to Africa and the rest is history. We got married two years later and have been happily married ever since! Hope you enjoy taking a look around our blog!
